City Attorney

The City Attorney’s office is unique as the office serves as legal council for the City of Bryan, Bryan City Council and an elected Board of Public Affairs. As legal counsel to the City of Bryan, the City Attorney writes and reviews legislation in the form of ordinances and resolutions; represents the City in litigation; prepares and reviews contracts on behalf of the City; and renders legal opinions to City officials and department heads.

The Bryan Municipal Prosecutor, appointed by the City Attorney, has county-wide jurisdiction of all misdemeanor traffic and criminal cases occurring in Williams County and assists all villages, townships and state enforcement agencies in prosecution of misdemeanors.

The Attorney’s office also serves in an advisory position to the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Bryan Industrial Park Board, the Bryan Economic Development Commission and the Revolving Loan Fund Board.
